Finance Assistant
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Work pattern: Full time - 40 hours/week
Department: Control and Assurance
Reporting to: Treasury Manager
The Opportunity
This Finance Assistant will support the provision of institutional level assurance on the efficiency and effectiveness of ASE financial controls, undertaking such work as required to deliver improvements to internal controls and governance to protect its value. The function is pivotal for successfully delivering these objectives, driving effective changes as well as designing, embedding, and delivering processes for our future control and assurance needs.
Job Responsibilities
Procurement to Pay (P2P)
Take ownership of vendor bill processing
Checking and validating bills received against approved budget / PO
Ensuring all bills are processed correctly in EPR system, include correct coding such as subsidiary and VAT
Obtaining relevant approval as per group control policy
Maintaining aging records to ensure approved bills are paid as per group policy (T +30 on 22nd of each month)
Dealing with queries when arise both internally and externally, ensuring any disputes and/or payments without bills are properly followed and resolved in a timely manner
Maintaining up to date vendor details, as well as ensuring our records held by vendor are up to date
Vendor bill payment processing
Managing bill payment process, ensuring correct payment information are setup in the banking system for release by 2nd level approvers in a timely manner
Liaising with vendors ensuring payment remittance is documented and communicated
Dealing with other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting or equal by work experience
At least 2 years' experience of accounting regulations
Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience using NetSuite accounting software advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-based environment and meet deadlines
Accurate and affinity with numbers, analytical skills and detail orientated
Excellent communication and team working skills
Pro-active and hands-on, self-motivated
Fluency in German and English
Right to work in Germany
